I'm going to start the book postings with one of my absolute favoritos. For anyone that has not read Skippyjon Jones, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! There are now 3 Skippyjon books with 3 more coming out this year! Get it! Love it! Here's the basics for you:
Book: Skippyjon Jones
Author: Judy Schachner
Type: Children's Picture Book
Plot: Skippyjon Jones is a siamese cat, but during a timeout in his room, he becomes his alter-ego, Skippito Friskito - a chihuahua! He uses his very best Spanish accent when speaking to his south of the border friends and his capers are hilarious.
Tips: Read it outloud to someone. It's at least 50 times funnier that way. I laugh out loud every time I read this! :) The 2nd book is also hilarious. Haven't read #3 yet, but I can't wait to!
I suggest that when we post about books we are suggesting to everyone that we include the basics of it (something like I did above). Hope you all find books to post and if someone has a book they'd like the group to read, let us know! If not, I'll come up with the first one and we can go from there!

Yeah for Skippyjon Jones! I got the book & love it. Allie (20 months) has a hard time sitting through the whole thing, but I love it. When my husband, Nate, heard me reading it, his commet was, "very weird". But when he read throguh it himself (outloud on my request), he thoguht it was funnier.
Yay! Sarah I'm so so happy that you and Nate have welcomed Skippito into your home. Don't worry. Allie will come around. I guess she's not old enough to appreciate it yet. It might help her improve her Spanglish skills though!
